Delicious Slow Cooker Applesauce
Remember my post on the applesauce cake. Well, guess what! This post should have come before that one. After our wonderful apple picking trip, we picked way too many apples. So many that all after all the pies, cakes and salads, we still had so many left over. And unfortunately they were starting to get soft. But, then I decided that instead of getting rid of all these apples why not make some apple sauce. Everyone in my family loves apple sauce. And I'm glad I did that!

Rich and creamy Slow Cooker Kheer (Indian rice pudding)
When my friend, Sarah, wanted to try the Indian Kheer and placed an order with Shalini's Kitchen, I brought out my slow cooker because I wanted to give her an absolutely delicious Kheer. I love my slow cooker because it allows me to cook and prepare dishes without actually having to do much, and the dishes coming out of a slow cooker are always so flavorful and with the best texture. This particular rice pudding is a staple dessert in North India and is prepared for all kin

Applesauce Cake
I was first introduced to applesauce cake when my daughter's preschool teachers baked some with the kids a few years ago. A simple and moist cake, I simply fell in love with the taste and texture and my otherwise super picky daughter finished up a full slice of the cake (this never happens). After our recent apple picking excursion, we came back with so many Prime Red apples that even after giving away more than a couple dozen apples, we were still sitting with so many more.
